Interpretive Embroidery Sample 2

This sample is focused on basic embroidery stitches used as fill, and my favorite part, is the 3 landscapes in the bottom row that utilize a few simple fill stitches.

Sample 2.1: French Knots in different densities to show depth. 3 strands of floss.

Sample 2.4: Detached Chain Stitch in different weights of floss. Black stitches use 3 strands and grey stitches us 2 strands.

Sample 2.5: Seed Stitch in different tones and varying weights of floss from 3 strands to 1 strand , with an occasional French Knot added.

Sample 2.7: Landscape based on a portion of a Matisse drawing. All stitches are Straight Stitch in different weights of floss, from 1 strand to 3 strands.

Sample 2.8: Snowy nightscape with French Knots for the moon and snow flakes, Straight and Cross Stitches for the moon beams, Back Stitch for the tree, and Seed Sitch for the snowy ground. 3 strands of floss for the french knots, and 2 strands for everything else.
